Messiness, Clutter, and the Divine Guest

A reflection of the clutter-ness of our heart:

The Divine Guest enters into the home of our hearts amid the presence of great messes.

My heart has always been disorganized in some sort of way. My flaws, sin, brokenness, fears, etc. all lay on the floor of my heart.

Cluttered. Scattered. Spilled. Gross.

I sometimes am unable to walk through the mess to open the door for any visitors.

Oftentimes, I just sit in the presence of our mess.

Overwhelmed. Alone. Fearful. Left with the crumbs.

But the door of our heart just so happens to creek open. The Lord desires to come and carry the mess. My mess. Your mess. He serves our hearts and gets his hands dirty while we sit and rest from the messiness of our hearts.

He cleans, heals, and conquers the great mess of my heart.

We will have a multitude of seasonal messes present in our lifetime.

Sometimes the load is too much for us.

But brothers and sisters, the mess is only temporary. We were not made to clean this mess alone.

Brothers and sisters, allow the Divine Guest to clean the mess of your heart.

Permit Him to serve you. Allow him to love you and declutter the mess of your heart.

Let those doors creak wide open.

Be hospitable.

And welcome Him into the home of your mess.
