Hello! I’m Valeria Gutierrez, a visual artist and designer based in Birmingham, Alabama. I am deeply passionate about capturing beauty and storytelling through my work, whether it’s through design, photography, or visual arts. Since i was young, I have been immersed in art and design. From my earliest days, I found myself captivated by how colors, shapes, and forms could tell powerful stories. Over the years, this fascination evolved into a passion for creating, and it has been my life's work to encapsulate beauty in everything I do. Art and design have never been merely interest pursuits for me; they are the means by which I understand the world and share that understanding with others.

My work is deeply personal, influenced by my cultural and spiritual background. I often incorporate custom typographic elements, creating unique phrases and designs that reflect a personal connection to the message I’m conveying. I draw my inspiration from my Hispanic heritage and the figure of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a symbol of both cultural and spiritual importance.

The concept of beauty has always been central to my work and personal philosophy. Growing up, I learned that beauty is not just about the surface—it's a doorway to something deeper, a reflection of transcendence. I find great resonance in the words of Pope John Paul II in his Letter to Artists, where he speaks about the artist's role in shaping culture and elevating the human spirit. Beauty, as he suggests, is not just a luxury or decoration, but a fundamental need that nourishes the soul and points us toward higher truths.For me, beauty encapsulates more than just visual aesthetics—it is a force that connects us to something greater, something divine. Whether it’s in nature, a piece of art, or a design, beauty speaks to the infinite, to the transcendent. My work, whether graphic design or photography, is a means to reflect these deeper truths.
